Let's See You Move

Last weekend we had the opportunity to perform for the LDS Fest in Richfield, UT. Which to us means...ROAD TRIP. Do we ever grow out of love for a road trip with our friends? (Notice I said WITH OUR FRIENDS. As in, NOT WITH OUR KIDS.) Something about being in a car together for 3+ hours brings out our classy side. And a good lip sync session is always classy.

On this particular trip we were feeling energetic, so the lip sync song of choice was “Move”. Because, well, it makes us want to move. So we did it, and recorded the performance to share with all of you. And it’s not at ALL embarrassing.

No artists or drivers were harmed in the making of this video.

And then it got us thinking. Wouldn’t it be fun to put together a video of lots of different people, lip syncing the same song? We love the idea so much we’re doing it. This is where YOU come in.

We want to see your lip syncing skills! Record yourself LIP SYNCING our song “Move”--you can be on the treadmill, at the park, the dinner table with your family, at a yoga session, dancing on the couch in your pjs...the sky’s the limit--and then submit the video for a chance to be on our official fan cut version! All you need is your creativity, a phone to film you, and the song from our “Come Alive” album. (If you don’t have the CD and just need the single, you can find it here.)  It can be alone or with family/friends. There are no age/gender limits, etc. Just keep it clean, y’all.

There are several ways to send us your submission:

  1. Post it on YouTube and email us the link or post the link on our Facebook page.
  2. Post it on your Facebook page, tag us, and use the hashtag #mercyrivermove
  3. Post it on OUR Facebook page.
  4. Post a snippet of your video on Instagram, tag us and use the hashtag #mercyrivermove. (If we use your video we’ll contact you for the full version!)
By submitting the videos you are giving us permission to use them in the super cut, as well as giving us permission to re-post them on Mercy River sites.

Throughout the next few weeks we’ll share some of our favorites, and then we’ll debut the official FAN MASH UP VIDEO around the end of February.

Sound fun? We think so. We can’t wait to see your creativity at work. Let’s MOVE, people!
